Arsenal are believed to be stepping up their efforts to sign Kolo Toure's brother Yaya from Olympiakos..

Toure has been sending out mixed messages about his situation with the Greek champions since his ever-present role in the Ivory Coast's World Cup campaign.

The 23-year-old midfielder - a taller, more powerful footballer than his elder sibling - initially complained that he was owed money by the Athens outfit and feared his visa would not be renewed.

But following denials from Olympiakos officials, Yaya then claimed to be happy in Greece although he added: "It would be a big dream to go to England and play. Maybe Kolo can do it for me."

Arsene Wenger is reported to have had a bid turned down for the Elephants star back in January but is still keen to negotiate a reasonable price.
